Baptisms (Christenings) and Weddings

BAPTISM (also called Christening)

To enquire about you or your child being baptised at Ashow, please contact the Vicar (see the Who's Who section).  Baptisms take place as part of our normal Sunday morning services.  We do not arrange Baptisms at other times.  Specific dates will not normally be discussed prior to a home visit.  Because of practicalities, it may be some months before a suitable date can be offered so please make initial enquiries in good time.

Please be aware that Baptism (Christening) is normally only offered to those who live within the parishes or to those who are regular worshippers.  If you have a strong connection with the parish, then we would consider your request, but would still recommend that you seek Baptism in your home parish.

A study leaflet for parents enquiring about baptisim for their child is available to download here following the link below.  Prospective Godparents are also encouraged to read and think about this.

MARRIAGE

To enquire about getting married at Ashow, please contact the Vicar (see the Who's Who section).

There are legal regulations which determine whether you are able to be married in a particular parish.  If you do not meet these criteria, we are not legally able to offer a marriage service in our Parish.
